Wayne State earns #3 seed for NCAA Central Regional Baseball Tournament

Wayne State College has earned the third-seed for the 2008 NCAA Division II Central Regional Baseball Tournament in Emporia, Kansas. The six-team, double-elimination tournament will be hosted by top-seed Emporia State and held Thursday-Sunday, May 15-18. The Wildcats will take a 40-11 record into Thursday's first round gameat 12:00 p.m. vs. #4 seed Central Missouri (41-15).

Concordia-St. Paul tops WSC 10-6 in NSIC Tournament title game

Concordia-St. Paul topped 15^th-ranked Wayne State College 10-6 Sunday afternoon in the 2008 Northern Sun Conference Baseball Tournament Championship game played at the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex in Wayne. The 27-14 Golden Bears earn the NSIC’s automatic berth to the NCAA Central Regional Tournament while the 40-11 Wildcats, ranked second in the Central Regional rankings, are expected to qualify for the NCAA Tournament for a fifth straight season with an at-large berth. Official pairings will be released by the NCAA Sunday evening.

CSP/WSC NSIC Baseball Tournament Championship Game broadcast on KCTY Radio

The Concordia-St. Paul vs. Wayne State NSIC Baseball Tournament Championship Game on Sunday, May 11th at 1:00 p.m. will be broadcast on Wayne radio station KCTY FM 104.9. Game time from the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The game will also be webcast on the Wayne State College athletic website as fans can log on to www.wscwildcats.com and click on the internet broadcast link to listen to the broadcast live.
