Wayne State College remains eighth in this week's NCAA Division II Central Regional Cross Country Rankings released Tuesday by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Wildcats are coming off a third place finish at the UNK Pre-Regional Meet in Kearney last Saturday, finishing only behind Colorado School of Mines and Augustana College.
Adams State of Colorado remains the top team in the rankings with Colorado School of Mines moving up from third to second this week. Western State of Colorado drops one spot to third this week while Minnesota State and Augustana remain fourth and fifth. The next four teams remain the same as last week with Metro State of Colorado sixth followed by Minnesota Duluth, Wayne State and New Mexico Highlands. MSU Moorhead replaces Univ. of Colorado-Colorado Springs in the 10th position this week.
Wayne State is off this week to prepare for the 2008 Northern Sun Conference Championships in Aberdeen, South Dakota on Saturday, October 25.
