WSC up one spot to 8th in latest USTFCCCA Mens Cross Country Regional Rankings

            The Wayne State College men's cross country team has moved up one spot to eighth in the NCAA Division II Central Regional Cross Country Rankings released Tuesday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

            Adams State of Colorado remains at the top of the regional rankings with Western State second.  Colorado School of Mines, Minnesota State and Augustana (SD) round out the top five with Metro State of Colorado sixth, Minnesota Duluth in seventh, Wayne State eighth, New Mexico Highlands is ninth and Univ. of Colorado-Colorado Springs 10th. The top six men's teams from the region will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championships in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania on November 22.  

            The Wildcats will be competing this Saturday at the UNK Pre-Regional Meet in Kearney, Nebraska with the women's race starting at 10 a.m. followed by the men's race at 10:45 a.m.
