WSC volleyball ties school record with 14th straight win

The Wayne State College volleyball team tied a school record with their 14th straight win Monday evening following a sweep at Chadron State College. Scores of the match were 25-9, 25-13 and 25-14. WSC is now 15-2 on the season while Chadron State remains winless on the year at 0-11.
The Wildcats never trailed in the match as WSC cruised to the win, hitting .378 for the evening with just seven hitting errors. WSC also had eight service aces in the non-conference win. Individually, junior Jennifer Hefner had a match-high 10 kills without an error, hitting .714 for the match. Setter Diedra Artz had 27 set assists and three service aces, Tali Fredrickson contributed 10 digs and three service aces while libero Leigh Connot paced the Wildcats defensively with 16 digs.
Wayne State will returns to Northern Sun Conference action Friday evening traveling to Sioux Falls for a match against the Augustana College Vikings starting at 7:00 p.m. The match was originally scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 p.m. but was recently rescheduled for Friday evening due to homecoming festivities at Augustana College.
