NSIC Indoor Men's Heptathlon Results
Cody Diehl of Wayne State College placed seventh out of 18 competitors with 4,443 points in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference indoor men's heptathlon held Sunday and Monday in Aberdeen, South Dakota at the Barnett Center. Two other Wildcats competed in the seven-event heptathlon as freshman Jeff Mills just missed placing taking ninth with 4.235 points while another freshman, John Musil, was 17th with 3.692 points.
Diehl, a sophomore from Grand Island Northwest High School, placed in the NSIC indoor heptathlon for the second straight year after taking sixth last season. His top finish in the seven events was a third place effort in the shot put (36' 11 ½”). Mills, a freshman from Grand Island Northwest HS, had a top finish with a tie for third in the pole vault (14' 7 ¼”) while Musil, a freshman from Pawnee City HS, had a top finish of ninth in the high jump clearing 5' 10 ½”.
