Wayne State 4 Truman State 0
Katie Goetzinger's pitching and the hitting of first baseman Jennifer Radley carried the 21st ranked Wayne State College softball team to a 4-0 win over Truman State Sunday morning at the Missouri Southern/Pittsburg State Crossover Tournament in Joplin, Missouri. A second game scheduled for Sunday afternoon against Fort Hays State was cancelled due to frost coming out of the ground causing wet field conditions in Joplin. The Wildcats finished the tournament with a 3-1 record.

WSC extended the lead to 2-0 in the sixth inning when Sam Earleywine singled and scored on Jennifer Radley's RBI double. The 'Cats added two more runs in the seventh when Kassie Nurton singled and scored on Blaire Kuhl's sacrifice fly followed by Radley's RBI single that scored Amy Sandstrom, who singled earlier, to make the final score 4-0 Wayne State.
