Drake Relays Results

Senior Nate Preston hit a provisional national qualifying mark in the 3,000 meter steeplechase to lead the Wayne State men's track and field team at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.  Preston placed 14th out of 20 runners in a strong NCAA Division I field with a time of 9:19.48.  

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Drew Molacek, Michael King, Aaron Garza and Andrew Jansen finished with a time of 3:20.72, just shy of the school record time of 3:19.4 in the event set back in1981.

The Wayne State College men's track and field team will compete on Saturday at the Hastings College Last Chance Qualifier with field events starting at 10:00 a.m.
