Hastings Last Chance Qualifier Final Results

John Kern posted a first place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase to lead a partial Wayne State men's track and field squad that competed Saturday at the Hastings College Last Chance Qualifier in Hastings, Nebraska. Kern ran a time of 10:00.47 to win the event.
Other top finishers for Wayne State included
York Thomas finishing fifth in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:46.54 and
Lucas Sirek was eighth in the triple jump with a top mark of 44' 3/4".
Several members of the Wildcat track team competed Thursday and Friday at the Drake Relays while two others will compete Sunday and Monday in the NSIC Decathlon in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Wayne State will compete next weekend at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
