2009-10 NSIC All-Conference Men's Golf Release
Adam Fields of Wayne State College has been selected to the 2009-10 Northern Sun Conference All-Conference Men's Golf Team announced by the league office Friday afternoon. It's the second straight season that the junior from Sioux City Heelan High School has been named First Team All-NSIC for the Wildcats. Fields was one of five players named First Team All-NSIC and just one of 10 players selected to the All-Conference Team.
Fields led Wayne State this spring with a scoring average of 74.0. He captured individual medalist honors at the Wayne State Spring Invite with rounds of 74 and 70 for an even par score of 144. He also placed fifth at the Upper Iowa Invite and was tied for sixth at the Winona State Spring Invitational.
Fields has been selected to play in the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Tournament as an individual qualifier for the second straight season. He will compete in the Central/West Regional at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, California (hosted by Cal State-San Bernardino) May 3-5. This is just the third time that a WSC men's golfer has qualified for the NCAA Tournament as Klinton Keller qualified in 2004 along with Fields making the tournament last season.
