Former Wayne State men's basketball player Brett Spiker signed his first professional European pro-contract yesterday, (Tuesday, August 3) agreeing to terms with Racing Luxembourg in the Luxembourg National 2 League.  The 6'7” power forward from Chariton, Iowa was a First Team All-NSIC Selection for the Wildcats as a senior this past season averaging 12.7 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.  He ranked second in the NSIC in rebounds and was fourth in the league in field goal percentage, making 59.7 percent of his shots (104-183) from the field.  He also posted 14 double-doubles.  The 23 year old is described as an aggressive inside player who has strong moves around the basket and knows how to collect the offensive rebound for an extra two points for his team.
