Wayne State head football coach Logan Masters today announced the addition of 33 student-athletes to the Wildcat football program as part of National Signing Day.  27 high school standouts and six transfers that joined the program at semester will continue their academic and football careers for the 2026-27 school year.  The signing class of 27 high school student-athletes include 19 from Nebraska, six in Iowa and one from South Dakota and Texas.  Wayne State linebackers Alex Kowalczyk and Jes Krcil received Academic All American honors Tuesday morning as the duo was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-American Football Team. Kowalczyk was a Second Team All American selection, becoming a two time Academic All American after earning Second Team honors in the 2022 season.
