WSC Women up to fourth in this week's USA Today/ESPN DII Top 25 Poll

19-2 'Cats match highest ever national ranking

            Wayne State College has matched its' highest-ever national ranking in women's basketball as the Wildcats moved up three spots to fourth in this week's USA Today/ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll released Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcats received a total of 656 points in voting conducted by various Division II head coaches from across the country to match the school's highest-ever national ranking achieved on November 29th and December 6th earlier this season.
            The Wildcats won a pair of home games last weekend, beating St. Cloud State 63-41 and Concordia-St. Paul 59-54, extending the club's current home-court win streak to 39 straight games at Rice Auditorium.  This weekend, WSC is on the road for games at Southwest Minnesota State Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Minnesota State Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
