Defense carries #17 Wildcats in easy win over Urbana at Rockhurst Tournament

The Wayne State College volleyball team held Urbana University of Ohio to a .043 hitting percentage in rolling to a 3-0 win Friday afternoon at the Rockhurst Volleyball Classic in Kansas City, Missouri. Scores of the match were 25-17, 25-13 and 25-14. The Wildcats, ranked 17^th in the AVCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, improved to 2-0 on the season with the win.

#17 Wildcats open season with sweep over Shepherd

The Wayne State College volleyball team, ranked 17^th in the AVCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, opened the 2010 season Friday afternoon with a straight set win over Shepherd University of West Virginia at the Rockhurst Volleybll Classic in Kansas City, Missouri. Scores of the match were 25-19, 25-22 and 25-12.
