The Wayne State College volleyball team slipped two spots to 17th in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released late Monday afternoon. Wayne State finished the regular season 28-7 overall and 16-4 in the NSIC, tied for second, after going 2-1 last week. The Wildcats defeated Augustana 3-1, swept Minnesota, Crookston 3-0 and lost at MSU Moorhead in Saturday's season finale 3-1. Wayne State is the #4 seed for the NCAA Division II Central Regional Tournament at St. Paul, Minnesota November 19-21 and will face Minnesota State, Mankato on Thursday, November 19th at 5:00 p.m. It's the fifth straight season the Wildcats have qualified for the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
