The men were led by sophomore Andy Jansen who placed 10^th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.68. Senior Cheto Cerda also had a top 10 finish, Cerda placed 10^th in the 1,000 meter run with a time of 2:39.97. Sprinter Drew Molacek came in 12^th place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.73 and made the finals of the 60 meter dash and finished 14th in a time of 7.20 seconds. The Wildcats 4X400 relay team (Michael King, Molacek, Aaron Garza, Jansen) had an 11^th place finish with a time of 3:25.68.

                In field events, sophomore Alex Timperly placed second in the unseeded pool of the men's triple jump with a top leap of 45'9”. Sophomore Cody Diehl and freshman Anthony Juhlin tied for fifth place in the pole vault, each clearing 14'7 ¼ . Jeff Mills was eighth in the unseeded pole vault clearing 13' 7 1/4", John Musil was eighth in the unseeded high jump (5' 10") and thrower Jacob Mathieson placed 11^th in the weight throw with a mark of 53' 3 ½”.
                Wayne State will compete in a pair of meets next weekend as the Wildcats compete at the Iowa State Open in Ames and the USD Alumni Open in Vermillion.
