Wildcat Open Indoor Track Men's Results

                The Wayne State College indoor track and field hosted the Wildcat Open Saturday at the Wayne State College Recreation Center.  Other teams competing in the meet included Briar Cliff, Buena Vista, Dakota State, Morningside College, Mount Marty and South Dakota School of Mines.  

               The Wayne State men had a pair of double winners to highlight the day.  Senior John Kern was first in the 1,000 meter run (2:37.48) and also won the one mile run in a time of 4:23.18.  The other double winner was junior sprinter Andrew Jansen, taking first in the 200 meter dash (23.39) and first in the 600 meter run (1:23.26). 

                Other winners for WSC were Michael King in the 60 meter dash (7.15), Will Hanson in the 60 meter hurdles (8.40), Garrett Zoucha in the 400 meter dash (53.40), David Poots in the 800 meter run (2:04.38), Alex Timperley in the triple jump (45' 4 ½”) and Ross Bunchek in the weight throw (63' 3/4”). 

                Wayne State will be in action again next weekend traveling to Mankato, Minnesota for the Minnesota State Open Friday night and Saturday.
