Erin Gross combined for 35 kills and a .392 attack percentage to lead #21 Wayne State to a 25-18, 23-25, 25-23 and 25-15 Northern Sun Conference volleyball win over Minot State Saturday afternoon in Minot, North Dakota. The Wildcats are now 12-6 overall and 6-3 in the NSIC while the host Beavers fall to 3-14 and 0-9 in conference play.
The first set saw nine ties and two lead changes before the Wildcats pulled away for a 25-18 win.
Erin Gross had five kills and one block to pace the 'Cats in the first set.
The Beavers used a .326 hitting percentage to take the second set from Wayne State. After a Minot State timeout with the score tied 23-23, the Beavers used a Hayley Swain kill and Wildcat attack error to secure the 25-23 victory in the second set.
Wayne State bounced back in the third set with a 25-23 win thanks to seven kills from redshirt freshman

The Wildcats held the Beavers to a .000 hitting percentage and forced nine attack errors in the fourth set to cruise to a 25-15 set win and win the match 3-1.
WSC hit .304 in the match compared to .233 for Minot State. The Beavers held a 64-59 edge in kills and 70-69 in digs while the Wildcats had a seven to one advantage in service aces.
Gross had a career-high 20 kills to go with two blocks to lead the Wildcats followed by Brahmer hitting .448 with 15 kills and three blocks. Freshman
