CoSIDA Academic All-District Volleyball Release
Wayne State College junior setter
Megan Gebhardt has been selected to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 7 Volleyball Team to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance athletically and in the classroom. With her First Team Academic All-District selection, Gebhardt now advances to the All-America ballot where honorees will be announced in December.
Gebhardt, a 5-8 junior setter from Norfolk and a graduate of Lutheran High Northeast High School, carries a 4.0 grade point average majoring in finance. She ranks seventh in the NSIC this season averaging 9.52 assists per set to go with 1.99 digs and 0.51 blocks per set. Gebhardt had six double-doubles on the season, including 46 assists and a season-high 17 digs in Wednesday night's 3-2 loss at #1 Concordia-St. Paul in the first round of the NSIC Tournament. She recorded a career-high 56 assists and 12 digs vs. Upper Iowa on October 27
th.
Gebhardt earned the Cunningham Scholar Female Athlete of the Year Award last year with a 4.00 grade point average. She obtained her undergraduate degree in just three years with a 4.00 grade point average and is currently pursuing a master's degree while playing volleyball at Wayne State College.

st in the latest AVCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, finished the season with a 19-12 record and 12-8 mark in the NSIC following a 3-2 loss at #1 Concordia-St. Paul in the NSIC Tournament opener Wednesday evening in St. Paul, Minnesota.
