2015:  Named NSIC Libero of the Year and First Team All-NSIC after averaging 5.24 digs per set during senior season...named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week 11/2/15 after recording season-high 28 digs at Northern State (10/30/15) and 24 digs at MSU Moorhead (10/31/15)...ranked second on the team in service aces with 32...finished WSC career ranked second in digs with 2,170 and is one of just two players in school history with over 2,000 digs...named to the Dunn Hospitality, Rockhurst Classic and All-Central Region Tournament Teams...other post season honors include AVCA All-Central Region honorable mention and AVCA All-American honorable mention...one of 10 Wildcats named to NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2014:  Played in all 34 matches and 122 sets for the Wildcats, averaging 4.25 digs per set...had double digit digs in 27 matches, led by season-high 30 digs vs. Augustana College (10/28/14)...credited with 27 digs and a season-best eight set assists vs. Central Missouri in NCAA Central Region First Round win (11/20/14)...recorded season-high four service aces vs. Northern State (10/3/14)...one of three WSC players named to the MSU Maverick Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging team-best 4.38 digs per set during four Wildcat wins...repeat selection to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.

2013:  One of three Wildcats to start all 32 matches while playing in all 114 sets...averaged 4.54 digs per set from libero position to rank fourth in the NSIC in digs per set...had double digit digs in 30 of 32 matches and recorded nine digs in the two matches not reaching double digit totals...ranked second on the team in service aces with 31 and second in set assists with 99...had season-high 30 digs vs. MSU Moorhead (11-9-13) and 29 digs in two other matches, vs. #11 Colorado School of Mines (9-6-13) and vs. #4 Minnesota Duluth (10-25-13)...recorded season-high four service aces vs. William Jewell (9-14-13) and vs. Peru State (10-16-13)...credited with eight set assists vs. MSU Moorhead (11-9-13)....named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team. 

2012: VanGroningen started all 113 sets at libero for the Wildcats during the season...she led the team in digs with 480 as she averages 4.25 digs per set and also was the team leader in service aces with 33...VanGroningen had double-digit digs in 25 of the 32 matches including a season-high 35 vs. Winona State on 9/14/2012...had a season-high six service aces vs. Augustana on 10/16/2012...VanGroningen ranked second on the team in assists with 93 and had a season-high six assists at Northern State on 10/19/2012...was selected as an honorable mention to the Omaha World Herald All-Nebraska Volleyball Team.

2011: Sat out season as a redshirt.

High School: Graduate of Sterling High School... four year letter winner/starter in volleyball,  basketball, and track and field... had 642 kills, 78 blocks, and 44 service aces helping the Jets to a 32-3 record and a runner-up finish in Class D-2... selected honorary captain of the Class D-2 Omaha World Herald All-State Team...set a school record as a sophomore with 51 kills in one match... was an All-State First Team selection as a sophomore... in track as a senior won 3 Gold  Medals helping Sterling to a third place finish in Class D State Track...was first in the 100 hurdles (15.67), 100 meter dash (12.40) and first in the 300 hurdles (45.71) while also running leg on 5th place 4 x 400 meter relay team...won a gold medal in Class D 100 and 300 meter hurdles as a junior... selected to play in Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star game and had one service ace for the Red Team.
